The Icelandic Horse

So eine tolle und unvergessliche Zeit! Ich saß vor gut 10 Jahren das letzte Mal im Sattel und war demnach freudig, leicht aufgeregt, zumal ich vorher noch nie ein Islandpferde geritten bin. Doch bei Begga und Sveinn von Íslenski Hesturinn ist man super aufgehoben und die Aufregung ist komplett weg. In lockerer Atmosphäre bekommt man noch ein paar Hinweise zu den Pferden, dann geht es zum kurzen Kennenlernen zu den bereits gesattelten Pferden... kurz darauf geht es schon auf dem Pferderücken in eine traumhafte Landschaft. Toll, toll, toll!! Absolut empfehlenswert

This tour was really lovely, and I was able to enjoy it with zero horseback riding experience. The guides were careful to explain what I needed to do, and matched me with a horse that was able to handle my newness to the sport. The tour through the lava field was great fun, and the chance to experience the Tolt gait was very cool (although I'd enjoy it more with a bit more experience, I think!). If you have an interest in horseback riding, this is definitely a great tour and a great company to work with.

This was one of my wife and I’s favorite tours. Begga and her team were incredible - nice, energetic, knowledgeable, and fun. The horses are amazing an animals and you actually get to ride them (and Tolt) instead of just being led in a single file line. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
