Hopsnes (a.k.a. Thorkotlustadanes) is a small peninsula in Grindavik in Southwest Iceland.

Many ships have stranded at Hopsnes and can be seen from the road. Various other remnants bear witness to the life of seafarers of farmers. Hopsnes has a lighthouse with a view of Eldey island on clear days. It is a nice place to take a walk and breathe in the sea and Icelandic history.
