레이캬비크는 밤이 아름다운 도시입니다.

1일째 - Arrival in Iceland

After you land at Keflavik International Airport and pass through customs, your private driver will be waiting to escort you to the capital in a spacious, comfortable vehicle. The 45-minute journey to your luxury hotel takes you across the breathtaking Reykjanes Peninsula, a wilderness of striking coasts, endless plains of lava, and dramatic volcanoes.

Your driver will answer any questions you may have about the surrounding landscapes and life in Iceland or can let you relax and recover from your flight.

After you reach your opulent Reykjavik accommodation, you can freshen up, then enjoy the city as you see fit. You will find plenty to do, as the metropolis is one of the world’s most vibrant cultural capitals, and your travel agent can help you book excursions if you fancy starting your trip with an adventure.

When evening arrives, you will head to the upmarket restaurant your agent organized for a delicious meal based on your dietary requirements and tastes. Icelandic cuisine is renowned for utilizing local ingredients in innovative ways to produce award-winning dishes and an unforgettable dining experience.

After this, your first northern lights hunt will begin. A private guide will pick you up and escort you into the dark nature around the capital, looking for a cloudless spot far from other guests for the optimal viewing experience. Marveling over the aurora borealis as they descend from the sky is beyond breathtaking, topping the bucket list of many travelers. To do so on such an exclusive tour is even more special.

Once you have enjoyed a hopefully fantastic northern lights display, you will return to Reykjavik. You can enjoy a taste of the vibrant nightlife before retiring or head straight to bed, fresh for your adventures tomorrow.

새해 전야는 아이슬란드의 아주 특별한 밤입니다.

2일째 - Nordic Capital

On the second day of your five-day luxury holiday package to Iceland, you’ll be picked up by your private guide for an exclusive local tour of Reykjavik. They will cater your trip to the interests of you and your group, using their expert knowledge of the city and surrounding area.

Options include visiting architectural marvels such as Hallgrimskirkja church and the Harpa Concert Hall, fascinating museums and galleries such as that at Perlan, and natural areas such as Nautholsvik beach and Oskjuhlid forest. They can introduce you to the most boutique shops along Laugavegur, take you to the magical harbor area, and tour you around the famous public artworks.

Once your personalized trip is complete, your driver will drop you off at a hand-picked restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious lunch.

Following this, it is time for your unforgettable helicopter trip. Your first option is to take off from Reykjavik and soar above the city, watching as its landmarks shrink to the size of toy miniatures and the tin roofs of the residential buildings become a colorful patchwork quilt beneath you. You’ll then cross the sparkling bay of Faxafloi to the flat-topped mountain of Esjan. Here, you’ll make a landing, disembark, and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine as you admire the incredible panoramas. Following this, you’ll soar back to the domestic airport.

Alternatively, you can soar straight out of the city over the dramatic wilderness of southeast Iceland. You’ll marvel over lava landscapes, rolling countryside, charming villages, and beautiful peaks before reaching an incredible glacier. Your pilot will land you onto the gleaming ice and allow you to disembark for some breathtaking views and amazing photos.

The former excursion lasts an hour while the latter lasts two. If you prefer a more extended flight over the country’s nature, your travel agent will be happy to arrange this for you.

After your flight, you can head to another boutique restaurant for a mouth-watering tasting experience, where you will get to enjoy a range of locally-sourced, lavishly prepared dishes. However, your wonderful day does not end here, as you’ll set out on another private aurora hunting experience when nightfall arrives.

Even if the display was incredible the night before, it is well worth watching the northern lights multiple times, as you’ll get to see another beautiful part of the country, and each show is different.

Once your breathtaking adventure is complete, you’ll head back to your boutique hotel in the capital.

3일째 - Nature of Iceland

On the third day of your luxury winter package to Iceland, you will set off on one of three fantastic, private adventures. No matter which one you choose, you’ll experience magnificent examples of Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes and dramatic features.

Option one is the shortest but most famous - a seven-hour tour around the Golden Circle sightseeing route. You’ll marvel over Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir Geothermal Area, and Gullfoss Waterfall on this journey.

Thingvellir is located directly between two visible tectonic plates. It has expanses of moss-coated lava, dozens of crystal clear springs leading to a vast lake, and abundant birch forests. Over a millennium ago, this was where Viking settlers first convened to create the first Icelandic parliament, an institution that has run constantly since. Furthermore, it was the site of many notable skirmishes and witch trials.

Meanwhile, the Geysir Geothermal Area is home to Strokkur, the most dramatic geyser in the country. You’ll watch it eject water and steam over 66 ft (20 meters) high every five to ten minutes and can marvel over countless other hot springs and fumaroles between eruptions.

Finally, you’ll get to Gullfoss waterfall. This dramatic feature was created by water flowing from Langjokull glacier, and it cascades into a stunning canyon in two tiers. Several viewing platforms allow you to photograph it from a variety of angles.

Option two is a ten-hour trip along the South Coast. This part of the country provides a parade of spectacular features, revealing the diversity of the island’s nature. En route to the first site, you will pass glaciers, volcanoes, archipelagos, geothermal areas, and rolling countryside.

The first three attractions on this route are all waterfalls. Seljalandsfoss is 197 ft (60 meters) tall, falling gently before an enormous cliffside cavern. Your private guide will show you the path encircling it for a unique perspective if the conditions allow. Hidden in a cavern just a short walk away is the little-known but breathtaking Gljufrabui waterfall.

A short drive from these sites is Skogafoss. As tall as Seljalandsfoss and far more powerful, it is a classic yet awe-inspiring feature you can approach incredibly close. So long as it is not icy, you can ascend the adjacent staircase for different outlooks.

You’ll then reach Reynisfjara beach, a haunting shoreline with massive waves, endless black sands, and fascinating geology. On the cliffs of Reynisfjall, you’ll be able to see hexagonal basalt columns, and out to sea, you can marvel over the basalt stacks of Reynisfjara. According to folklore, the latter was created when trolls got caught in the sun trying to hijack a passing ship.

Option three is a twelve-hour tour of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Nicknamed ‘Iceland in Miniature,’ this is the excursion to take if you want to fit as many different contrasting sites into one day as possible. Your private guide will be able to show you the attractions most aligned with your interests.

Animal lovers will love the Londrangar basalt plug, which is home to countless nesting seabirds, and Ytri Tunga beach, which has a year-round resident seal colony. Those fascinated by Icelandic culture can focus on the historic town of Stykkisholmur and the abandoned villages of Hellnar and Budir. The adventurous, meanwhile, could explore the mountainside gorge of Raudfeldsgja and visit caves such as Vatnshellir.

All, however, will appreciate the incredible natural beauty of Mount Kirkjufell and the subglacial volcano of Snaefellsjokull. The former featured prominently in the last two seasons of Game of Thrones, whereas the latter is said to sit on a ley line and have ethereal powers.

Regardless of how you spend your day, your private guide will escort you to the Blue Lagoon, where you will spend the next two nights. You’ll stay at the beautiful Silica Hotel, though you can upgrade to the five-star Retreat Hotel if you want even more luxury. Your delicious meal will be waiting for you at the Lava Restaurant or Moss Restaurant, providing a brilliant ending to an action-packed day.

Before retiring, be sure to look out for the aurora borealis!

4일째 - The Blue Lagoon

On the last full day of your luxury winter holiday to Iceland, you have two options for how to spend your time. Firstly, you could relax at the spa, making the most of its ethereal waters and indulgent treatments. Secondly, you could embark on a private tour to better get to know the volcanic landscapes of the Reykjanes Peninsula.

Those who choose to immerse themselves in the Blue Lagoon will hit the heights of relaxation with the amenities offered. The pools are opaque and azure, filled with minerals and microbes that are rare or exclusively found here and boast healing properties for physical, mental, and spiritual ailments. Furthermore, silica masks are available for all guests.

You can add additional treatments such as massages for an extra cost.

If you choose to stay at the opulent Retreat Hotel, you will access the Retreat Lagoon and Spa for a far more personalized, private, and luxurious experience.

Those who opt for a tour of the Reykjanes Peninsula will see a wealth of volcanic attractions just off the beaten path, away from the main tourist crowds. The hot spring areas of Krysuvik and Gunnuhver are great places to marvel over the geothermal forces of the earth. Meanwhile, the Bridge Between the Continents allows you to walk from the Eurasian tectonic plate to the North American one.

Other attractions in the area include the vast lake of Kleifarvatn, the coastal pool of Brimketill, and the beautiful lighthouse of Reykjanesviti. You can even arrange a hike with your private guide to visit the new lava at the recent Fagradalsfjall volcano!

On your last evening, you’ll enjoy another tasting menu at the Lava or Moss Restaurant. Make the most of your final opportunity to see the northern lights before retiring if it’s clear.

Your private driver will take you the short distance from the Blue Lagoon to Keflavik International Airport in time for your departure.
