Buggy X-treme Iceland

Fantastic private tour with a wonderful guide. Got to see so much cool stuff we never would have seen otherwise. Conversation was fun. The authentic bbq experience is a must add.

Our tour guide was great! He made us feel like long time friends and made the experience unique and memorable. He was flexible when we had to change dates. We learned so much about Iceland from a local perspective. We were thrilled when on our way back we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights! If we decide to come back, I would definitely do this tour again! Highly recommend!

Once in a lifetime full day adventure that I recommend everyone should splurge and just do it . I guarantee you will not be disappointed. It was the highlight of our trip (and we did a lot) I was running off adrenaline the entire day!!! We got to explore so much of the highlands in these dune buggies because you can go faster than you would be able to in a rental car. They are very fast but yet very safe. The suits helmets and gloves provided were new and very clean. They were also necessary to keep all the lava dust off your clothes and eyes. Our guide Jona was truly a one in a million tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable on the land and history of Iceland. He had a great sense of humor very witty, great stories to tell and was extremely kind and generous. He went above and beyond to show us so many hidden treasures in Iceland and even went way past our scheduled tour end time just because the day was so beautiful and we were enjoying the ride and scenery so much. I secretly think he was also enjoying riding through his beautiful country almost as much as we did. We made plenty of stops at waterfalls both big and small, craters, crater pools, hot springs, lava fields, hekla, lakes, and so much more. Jona heated us up some soup and bread as a snack knowing that we would get hungry a little early with all the excitement. Later on in the trip after our small hike through the canyon and to the lava field we spent time relaxing in an amazing hot spring. There were showers and bathrooms close by to change. While we were having a dip Jona cooked us the best meal I had for our entire week there. Grilled lamb chops potatoes and salad. He also shared some of his personal smoked geese that was so good that I had to go to the butcher to get my own. I learned so much more about iceland through Jona than I did with the other 4 excursions we took that week. It was the most expensive excursion I have ever purchased but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Our experience and memories were priceless. Thank you so much Jona for making our trip one that will ever be forgotten. We can't wait to visit again
