Are you a fan of games?
If you're a fan of games - there's a free talk about games happening in the Grandi area tonight (Friday the 29th of July) at The Travelling Embassy of Rockall.
Jonatan van Hove from Glitchnap will be talking about the indie gaming community and introducing what's happening in the game world. This is a talk about indie games, that are very playful and experimental - so you're bound to learn something new!
Find the facebook event for the talk of Games by Jonatan van Hove here. It starts at 7pm - and I'm going to be there :) There's also great music by asdfhg afterwards, that I'm super excited to see perform!
The Travelling Embassy of Rockall is a community of people that organize free lectures, film screenings, concerts and workshops in an area where they have built a library, exhibition space, a stage and a café to name a few. Their idea is to raise questions about what kind of a society we all want to live in, and how we can change our society to become an even better one. I urge people to check it out, there is an exciting schedule each week until the end of September.
Their weekly schedule can be found on Rockall's facebook site.
And also, right next to it my theatre and events company Huldufugl is building a maze for Culture Night. More on that in another blog! :)
Pokémon Go has taken over the city of Reykjavík, with lures placed all over town. I haven't played it myself yet so I don't have much to say about it, except that it seems to be really taking off here because the streets are packed with people of all ages looking for Pokémon at all times!
So, have a good weekend full of games and fun :)
