How to Get to the Wilderness Center

You'll travel through Hallormstadarskogur forest on the way to the Wilderness CenterFrom Egilsstadir, the drive to the Wilderness Center should take just under one hour in good conditions. Head southwest along Road 95 for around 7.2 miles (11.6 kilometers). Then, turn right onto Road 931 (Uppheradsvegur Road) and drive alongside Lagarfljot lake. Turn onto Road 933 (Fljotsdalsvegur Road) and then Road 934, which leads to the Wilderness Center.
