Midgard is located in central south Iceland - close to all the beautiful attractions. You can choose between dorms, private rooms and family rooms. All rooms give you exclusive access to our rooftop hot tub and sauna.

At Midgard you will also find a bar, café and a restaurant. Nutritious breakfast buffet, delicious lunch and a good range of dinner options. All diets are catered for, vegetarian and vegan as well as meat and fish eaters. Happy hour daily!

There is always something going on at Base Camp. We have various events such as concerts, documentary nights, “baby and parent” meet-up and yoga classes to name a few. Our events are popular both among guests and the local community. Check our Facebook page for upcoming events.

Midgard in the Norse Mythology is the name for “the world” inhabited by humans. Midgard is a very striking, modern Base Camp. A large amount of planning has gone into providing all those items that go towards making Midgard totally “fit for purpose” for all our clients.

Midgard is a place to stop-by, a place to have a chat, to relax, to eat, to have a drink and/or to stay over in our super comfy accommodation. Mixing and mingling is greatly encouraged in Midgard, for staff, travelers and locals alike.
