I'm Aldís Amah. An Icelandic/American girl with a very mixed heritage. Raised in the west side of Reykjavík I know the city like the back of my hand (just don't try me on the street names, terrible with 'em) and I couldn't have asked to spend my childhood in a better place. I'd be happy to assist you in planning your trip to our island. :)
A writer for this site, integral in its shaping, as well as an avid traveler and a Reykjavik local, I have a fair knowledge of the country and traveling. Good in languages, have a BA in English. Other interests: Music, films, coffee houses, swimming, politics, health and humanitarian issues, folklore, anthropology, arts, poetry, culture, nature, hiking, history etc. I would be happy to direct you to good tours and recommend cool stuff. The opinions that I express on my blog are solely my own.
Hi there, I'm Lyonel, a Northern Lights Hunter and a Ma Student in Folkloristic. I have the pleasure of being a professional Northern Lights hunter with experience both in Iceland and in North Norway where I am now based. Don't hesitate to drop me a line if you want to have some tips on the matter or discuss anything Icelandic/Nordic related
My name is Sigrun Guttormsdóttir Þormar. I live inBorgarfjord west Iceland, where I work as a project leader at the cultural medieval center Snorrastofa in Reykholt. For those that don't know, Reykholt was the home of Snorri Sturluson, medieval writer and poet whom lived in Reykholt from 1206 to 1241. He was the author of the Edda, Heimskringla (History of the kings of Norway) and Egils Saga Skallagrimsson. For me Snorri is the most amazing employer whom I proudly serve and constantly present in my every day life! He is absolutely still going strong at 835 years of age. Please come and visit us at www.snorrastofa.is. We are open all weekdays during the winter and all days during summer. We have an exhibition about Snorri Sturluson and offer lectures for groups. Hope to see you soon :)
An actress and a food addict based in 101 Reykjavík (what locals call a 'downtown rat'). I've lived around the world, in Brazil, Spain, Norway, Argentina, England and Estonia - and besides Icelandic I speak English, Portuguese, Spanish and Norwegian. If you need tips about Icelandic culture, food, theatre, dance, art and what to do in Reykjavík - get in touch! I've also travelled extensively in Iceland, so if you need some nature tips, I've got some of them too.

I’m Alda, an Icelandic-North American hybrid and the author of several books about Iceland. I have written extensively about Iceland’s social and political situation on my own personal blog and for the international media, including The Guardian, Slate Magazine, The Huffington Post and the Associated Press. My latest book is called The Little Book of the Icelanders in the Old Days - a sequel to the best-selling The Little Book of the Icelanders, published in 2012. In June and July I will be travelling around Iceland to distribute the new book, and will be live blogging the journey, as well as posting regular pictures and updates to my own Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram. I hope you will join me as I meet some lovely people, visit some of my favourite places and share useful tips along the way. It’s going to be great!
My name is Jorunn and I live in Reykjavik. I have great passion for photography and travelling. Icelandic nature is a big inspiration for me. I love to share my experience with others and advice people that are planning a visit to Iceland. I have experience doing photo day tours with small group of people to places as Snæfellsnes peninsula, Reykjanes peninsula, the south coast of Iceland and the Golden circle. Im also willing to offer you a tailor made tour of your choice. If you want some great tips about travelling or photographing in those areas or join me on a photo tour please send me a line.
Hi, my name is Regína and I was born and raised here in Iceland, in the capital city Reykjavík. I love travelling around Iceland and my travel blog is from my travels through the years in my country, Iceland
Viel spass in Island :)
