There are eight beautiful cottages at Nupar. They are situated right outside of Hveragerði and are a perfect solution for travellers who wish to be in quiet and comforting surroundings, yet still close to all services.
Hvergerdi is a small town located South East of Reykjavik. The town boasts a supermarket and plenty of amenities, which is handy to have close by as you can cook and eat meals in the cabin.
Hvergerdi is also the site of a fantastic geothermal area. There is an excellent hike you can take, which leads to a secluded natural hot spring. Bathe in the heated geothermal water and enjoy taking in the stunning natural beauty which surrounds you.
In the house, there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a bunk bed. The house has a traditional Icelandic interior, with wooden panelling on the walls and traditional decor. Outside is a hot tub and a BBQ grill. These are ideal for the summer months when the days are longer, and the weather is warmer. Relax outside the cabin and enjoy the sounds of nature and the tranquillity of spending time with just those you are travelling with.
In the winter months, enjoy cosying up inside the cabin with hot chocolate. If you are lucky, you might catch a sight of the Northern Lights as they have been known to be spotted frequently in this region of Iceland.
This cabin is an ideal choice for young families or groups of friends who are travelling around this fantastic country.
Spend your whole trip relaxing in the cabin and soaking in the incredible nature surrounding you, or spend only a couple of nights in this region as you make your way around the Ring Road.
