This warm and newly built cottage is located between Vik and Kirkjubæjarklaustur, in the Southern region of Iceland. It is twenty-eight metres squared in size and is split into a bathroom, an open-plan kitchen/living room and a corner with a double bed.
There is also a sleeping sofa that can accommodate two people in the living room. This makes this space ideal for a couple or small family, as the accommodation is cosy and compact; small but perfectly formed.
The cottage boasts a small but well-equipped kitchen so you can save money on meals and cook a meal in your accommodation.
The cottage is by the farm Snæbýli 1, which is the last farm before heading on the mountain road (F210). In this area, you can find many beautiful sites to visit simply by walking or driving. You are incredibly close to nature and will enjoy the sound of birdsong and possibly see some Icelandic horses in the nearby fields. The house is a short distance from the mountain road that leads to Landmannalaugar (F208), so this would be an ideal base for those thinking of hiking through the Highlands of Iceland. The cottage is 15 km from the highway. This means you are not too far away from the Ring Road for those who are looking to continue their journey of the Circle of Iceland.
If you visit in the right seasons, you might have luck in seeing the Northern Lights as this area is far from any light pollution, and Northern Lights are often spotted in this area.
