Glacier World Hoffell can be found between the South Coast and Eastfjords, north of the town of Hofn. This settlement is just 20 minutes south and has all the services a traveler could require, as well as several fascinating cultural attractions and a beautiful nearby mountain named Vestrahorn.

It is just a hundred meters from a magnificent glacial outlet, part of the largest ice cap in Europe, the mighty Vatnajokull.

The location of Glacier World means that both the sites of the south and east are accessible to guests. The first major site of the former, the breathtaking Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, is just 50 minutes away, whereas Mount Eystrahorn, the mark of the beginning of the Eastfjords, takes the same amount of time to reach in the opposite direction.

Facilities & Amenities

Glacier World Hoffell is spread over three guesthouses. The most affordable has eight bedrooms, for one to three people each, and three shared bathrooms. The other two have private bathroom facilities; one has five bedrooms, and the other also has eight.

Guests are welcome to use the on-site hot tub for 1000 ISK each and are welcome to embark on one of the many awe-inspiring hiking routes for free. Breakfast is included for all guests.
