It can be walked to in just 15 minutes from the guesthouse.

For more dramatic geysers, one only needs to drive 20 minutes and they will come to Strokkur, a geothermal marvel that erupts regularly to great heights. This is one of three sites on the Golden Circle; the other two, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park, take half an hour and an hour to reach from Fludir respectively.

Guesthouse Fludir is also close enough to the South Coast for visitors to spend a day exploring its many attractions, such as Reynisfjara beach and the Dyrholaey rock arch.
