Welcome to your self-drive tour in Iceland.
Your Icelandic adventure begins as you arrive at either the Keflavik International Airport or Reykjavik, depending on your chosen starting point. Your reliable car rental awaits in both locations, ready to be your trusty companion throughout the next three days of exploration.
With this self-drive tour, you have the liberty to create your itinerary, and today's activities are entirely flexible, depending on your flight arrival time. If you touch down at Keflavik International Airport, you can opt for a leisurely soak at the Blue Lagoon en route to Reykjavik.
The Blue Lagoon is a world-renowned geothermal spa of relaxation. Nestled in a lava field, this wonder of modern design offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and top-rated amenities. The highlight is the milky-blue, mineral-rich waters, with a maintained warmth of 100 to 104 F (38 to 40 C) year-round.
As you soak, you'll notice the Blue Lagoon's pristine facilities, which include spacious changing rooms, showers, saunas, a steam bath, a relaxing lounge, and an in-water bar offering refreshing beverages to complement your soothing soak.
If you opt to include a comfort or premium entrance package in your booking, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the best geothermal bathing experience in the Blue Lagoon.
Another choice is the Sky Lagoon, a newer, smaller spa on the capital's outskirts. With its infinity pool overlooking the ocean, seven-step Skjol bathing ritual, and local traditions, the Sky Lagoon provides a more intimate experience.
Private changing rooms are available with premium tickets.
Alternatively, you can choose to continue your journey straight to Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, where a dip in the local culture awaits you.
Wander through the charming streets adorned with colorful houses, explore quaint shops brimming with unique Icelandic treasures, and savor delicious cuisine at excellent local restaurants.
Reykjavik also offers cultural gems to discover, including intriguing museums and vibrant nightlife for those who want to experience the city after dark.
