Hop on board this tour for a delightful day’s journey to the most fabulous sites in Iceland. This tour has something to interest anyone who wants to understand what makes Iceland so special, whether it is our history, culture, or geology. Kick back on a comfortable, well-appointed tour bus, put your feet up and don't worry about the driving!

The tour begins by taking you past beautiful scenery to Geysir hot spring area, then to Gullfoss waterfall. First, enjoy the Geysir geothermal area – an impressive collection of geothermal features in one central location, including hissing steam vents, bubbling mud pools and colorful algae. Although the mighty Geysir, after which all geysers are named, has gone quiet, one of the world's most reliable geysers, Strokkur, is nearby. It blasts out a column of scalding water every 10 minutes or so, rocketing up to 20 m (66 ft) into the air.

Your next stop, Gullfoss, is a shocking display of nature's power: A huge, wide waterfall spewing billions of gallons of water, clouds of mist billowing into the air. The paved path allows you to get right next to the falls, to feel the earth-shaking power of this natural wonder in the soles of your feet.

Finally, explore the enthralling sights of Þingvellir National Park. It a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the world's first parliament, which was founded here in 930 AD. The Althing is the first democratic government, in which every inhabitant of the country could attend and be heard at the assembly of the powerful chieftains of Iceland, the goðar.

The site boasts some of the most striking landscapes in Iceland, including the nation's largest natural lake and the Almannagjá canyon which marks the rift between two techtonic plates. Each year, the plates move approximately 2 mm further apart! Take the easy path between the plates and see the looming edges of the plates for yourself. Reach out and touch the millennia between you and the ever-moving earth!

You'll also visit the Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre, where Icelanders have learned to use the abundant geothermal heat to create spaces where fresh vegetables can be grown. Friðheimar is a fully working Icelandic farm with horses, as well!

It's always interesting to hear about Iceland's almost exclusive green energy use but to see it put to use for food production is seeing history in the making. The visit to the greenhouse underscored how Iceland's spectacular natural scenery at the geyser site, the falls and the tectonic plates in the Pingvellir National Park are all being harnessed to create a new industry and economically sustainable model for the country. Guide Eric was patient with questions and took extra time with one couple on our trip who did not speak either English or Spanish (the languages for the tour) to make sure they knew where to find the bus and other facilities. The tour was well paced, never rushed and just seeing the expansive Icelandic countryside was worth the ride between the major sites.

Our guide was very nice but moved fast in destinations and disappeared in the crowd so I lost her. All the destinations are well directed so I was still able to look around and find the bus even though the guide disappeared. She was very talkative which is not necessary a bad thing but during our 8h trip there was only 20min of quiet. However we learned a lot about the history of Iceland and Reykjavik and heard stories of trolls and elves. All destinations are beautiful, the greenhouse is a bit weird addition to the golden circle but nice to visit, they sell good tomato soup and products made of their tomatoes. The guide and driver were both nice. The tour is run by Reykjavik Excursions and by booking this trip through their website children/teenagers will get a discount. Overall the Golden circle tour is a great way to see three famous landmarks of Iceland and enjoy beautiful mountain views. I suggest you take a warm coat with you since there is a very strong wind at the Gullfoss waterfall. It wasn't sunny so we didn't get to see the rainbow over the waterfall but it is beautiful regardless. I suggest this tour as your first impression of Iceland if it's your first time visiting Iceland or if you have a short 1 day timeframe.

the tour guide was funny and nice, but it would be marvellous if she could have waited all of us to get of the bus ('cause by the time we got down, we have no idea where she went with the crowd) we spent quite a lot of time in transportation

Last day tour in Iceland , relatively relax than the days before. I like the tour with less people with more flexible and adventures.

It's so beautiful especially the Gullfoss! Our tour guide is so good at telling stories!

Me and my girlfriend had a great time in Iceland. Everything from the start was how we planned it and even better. Guide to Iceland were really helpful in planning our trip and this particular tour was spectacular. The places we visited are beautiful and they alone make this tour worthwhile, but something that made it even more enjoyable was that we had a great guide who told us a lot of the places that we went to and Iceland in general. He also was very kind to answer any questions we had and gave us enough time to enjoy the sights at our leisure. It was great to get to visit all this amazing places with someone that knows what they are doing.

Iceland is an amazing place. I enjoyed the tour a lot and it was comfortable to stay with the people in the whole tour. And the tour guide was smart, helpful and careful. Thank you for giving such a great service to us.

We loved Iceland and all of its beauty! The tour was very fun and we loved that our guide had a good sense of humor! We also appreciated that he explained everything we saw in detail and was very open to questions. When we come back we will definitely take these tours again! :)

Beautiful country and all the sights were amazing! Tour guide was brilliant, explaining all tiny details about the land we were crossing. I suggest everyone to pick up this tour when visiting Iceland!

I had a great time on the golden circle tour. Even in the snow, the sights are beautiful. We didn't go to the geothermal power station but we did stop at a horse ranch. There we watched a short show about Icelandic horses and even got to meet some horses. Our tour guide was very kind and informative. It was a great trip.

Lovley tour , incredible scenery Nd the waterfall is amazing . Double cold though so wrap up there
