Fantastic, Affordable South Coast Day Tour

Description
Set out on a fantastic day enjoying the major attractions of South Iceland on this affordable and extensive small bus tour. Those eager to see waterfalls, geological marvels, glaciers, and some spectacular shoreline will love their experience on this journey.
Your day begins when you are picked up from Reykjavik and meet your friendly guide. There is a maximum capacity of 19 on this tour, meaning you will have plenty of chances to ask your questions as you travel. Once you are all gathered, you’ll set out through a gorgeous geothermal landscape towards the incredible South Coast region.
The first major destination you will come to is a powerful waterfall that cascades dramatically off a massive, sea-facing cliff: Skogafoss. You can admire the feature either by approaching it up close (though the spray will get you damp!) or by ascending a staircase beside it for some alternative perspectives. On sunny days, you’ll also appreciate the rainbows that the abundant water creates.
Next, you’ll head to Reynisfjara, a stretch of shoreline once voted one of the world’s most beautiful non-tropical beaches. The reasons for this are threefold; its black volcanic sands, its enormous waves, and its spectacular geology. The latter is renowned for its hexagonal basalt columns and its towering sea-stacks, which folklore dictates are two frozen trolls.
Adjacent to Reynisfjara is your next stop, the village of Vik. Iceland’s southernmost settlement, you’ll appreciate the refreshments you can stock up on here, as well as the charming buildings, surrounding nature, and beautiful views.
Following this, you’ll move over to the Solheimajokull, a magnificent glacier. The veins of black ash slicing through the white snow and gleaming blue ice form a striking contrast, and the scale of the formation is breathtaking. You’ll even get to see a small lagoon at the tip of the glacier’s tongue.
Finally, you’ll head to your last two destinations, the waterfalls of Gljufrabui and Seljalandsfoss. The former is small but magical, nestled inside a hidden nook within a cliff face. The latter, meanwhile, is over 60 meters tall and cascades before a vast cavern that can be walked into during favorable conditions.
With all these fantastic sites explored, you will make your way back to the capital, no doubt thrilled by the amount you have fitted into a day.
