Description

Explore the spectacular sights of the South Coast, including the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, by booking this incredible guided excursion. Those eager to see waterfalls, glacier lagoons, and black sand beaches should book this private tour now.

Your day will begin when you are picked up from your accommodation in Reykjavik. You will leave the city behind as you head on Route 1 towards South Iceland.

When you leave Reykjavik, you will be greeted with wild lava landscapes as though the city ends and the wilderness begins. Enjoy the incredible views as you drive.

You will pass through an active volcano, Hengill, where Hellisheidi Power Station is located. You'll see columns of steam bursting into the air.

You will then travel through Hveragerdi, Selfoss, Hella, and Hvolsvollur to the famously spectacular Seljalandasfoss waterfall. You can walk behind the cascade of water here.

Shortly after visiting Seljalandasfoss waterfall, you will stop near another Icelandic gem, Skogafoss waterfall. A vast amount of water drops with tremendous force, creating a mist that produces beautiful rainbows.

You will make another stop in the charming town of Vik. It has plenty to offer and is a great place to get lunch. You will stop at a restaurant where you can buy food and gifts.

You will also visit the famous black beach in Vík, and if you are lucky, you might encounter some puffins on the cliffs.

Another famous beach you will see is the Reynisfjara black sand beach, one of the highlights of this tour. Named one of the top 10 beaches in the world by National Geographic, this spectacular location has basalt stacks, roaring waves, and stunning scenery.

You will then visit the crown jewel of Iceland, the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon is one of Iceland's most stunning natural attractions on the edge of Vatnajokull National Park.

The lagoon is filled with large, floating icebergs that break off from the nearby Breidamerkurjokull glacier, creating a constantly changing landscape.

The icebergs drift through the lagoon before eventually reaching the ocean, often stopping at the nearby Diamond beach, the last stop on the tour. Visitors can take boat tours to get a closer look at the icebergs and even spot seals swimming in the lagoon.

At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to your accommodation in Reykjavik, ready to continue your adventures in Iceland.

Don't miss out on this private tour of the spectacular sights of Iceland's South Coast. Check availability now by choosing a date.
