Sex and the Reykjavík City..almost! What to do during the day!
When you come to Iceland there is a lot to see and do. You can travel around the country and be amazed by our island. You can do all the wildest things you probably have never done before and it´s all worth it.
In this blog I want to describe to you my perfect day in the city.
When the sun comes up
Because during the summer time there is always bright outside you probably will wake up early in the morning.
The first thing that comes to mind is a good coffee!
Go to:
Kaffitár on Laugavegur
Te og Kaffi on Laugavegur
Or enjoy the old fashioned Mokka Kaffi on Skólavörðustígur.
Walk down Laugavegur and breath fresh air in the morning. Take your camera with you and capture the moment.
You need to take photos of:
Hallgrímskirkja, Church
Harpa, concert and Conference Centre
The seafront
And what you feel is captivating. Capture everything
Late lunch it's important to eat and in Reykjavik there are many great restaurants. I'm going to name a few.
Go to:
Vegamót
Saegreifinn
Ban Thai
Fish and Chips
Laundromat Café
Núðluskálin
Hamborgarabúllan
GlóOr enjoy our famous Icelandic hot dogs at Bæjarins Beztu.
After your lunch you need to shop.
Go down Laugavegur and Skólavörðustígur and get dressed as a real Icelander. Stop by in these shops:
Go to:
Geysir on Skólavörðustígur.
Kassetta on Laugavegur
66north
KronKron
Aftur
Mundi design - Atmo
And all the arts and gift shops along the way.
When you have had enough of your shopping you probably want to sit down and have something to drink. I´m going to let you choose where to go.
After a long day – take a nap at your hotel and be fresh for a big night in the city!
Soon I will post a blog about what to do during the night and write more about my favourite restaurants and shops in Reykjavik City.
I've been receiving emails from you – thank you for that! I will reply as soon as possible.
With love, Eyjó
