5. Jaki rodzaj zakwaterowania jest dostępny na Snaefellsnes?

Istnieje wiele hoteli, hosteli i kempingów w tamtej okolicy. “Stolicą” zachodniej Islandii jest Stykkishólmur, największe miasto w tamtej części wyspy.

6. Jak duży jest półwysep Snaefellsnes?

Półwysep ma 90 km długości i niecałe 10 km szerokości.

9. Jakie udogodnienia znajdę na półwyspie Snaefellsnes?

To w większości wioski rybackie i miasteczka więc znajdziesz podstawowe udogodnienia.

ABSOLUTNIE POLECAM

We recently returned from a ten day self guided tour of Iceland through Guide to Iceland. I could gush for an extended time about Iceland and this trip. The experience was exemplary! Iceland is an amazingly beautiful place that should be on everyone's travel list. Iceland is a physically stunning place that amazed at every turn in the road. From the volcanic environments, the mountains, glaciers and fjords there is an ever changing landscape that keeps you engaged and thrilled. The people are friendly and the food is great. The self guided tour let us pick and choose what we wanted to see and at our own pace. The hotels were welcoming and gracious. The distance between hotels were well paced for our travels. We would do this all again without hesitation. We'll definitely be back to Iceland.

The tour was excellent! Our guide (Sölvi) was a gentle guy with rich knowledge of Icelandic history and culture. He carefully picked tons of Icelandic music during our drive. The scenery is great as long as it's not raining, which is something you can't expect in Iceland. Highly recommend this tour if you want to know more about Iceland.

Iceland provides a plethora of stunning landscapes and unimaginable geographical wonder! Wanting a unique honeymoon location, i can't be happier with my decision. A travelers dream and a photographers heaven, this four day tour is absolutely recommended for first time tourists to get a taste of its magic. In the comfort of a luxury tour bus led by a knowledgable guide, we were taken to a few of the major features of the so called "land of the gods." Covering the golden circle, glacier hiking, ice caves and some stunning waterfalls, the tour is well paced providing each traveler enough time to let it all sink in without wasting any time. The unpredictable weather of Iceland may hinder with the schedule, but our guide would make sure to make the best of clear skies, and keep us safe and warm during a storm. The hotel location at Hofn is absolutely beautiful, and if you're lucky enough to catch the Northern lights, like we were, well trust me it can't get better than that.

We booked this last minute, but it came as a great surprise ! We're afraid that we'd be left unattended due to the late action, but our guide Magga came to the pickup point soon. She is a great guide, she made everyone feel comfortable while she took us to the scenic spots of the Snaefellsnes Island. The day (even with the sudden snow) was great and I would highly recommend this trip. If you happen to have Mag as your guide, you will enjoy the folk stories! Don't forget to take a camera.

8 Day Winter Wonderland | National Parks & Ice Cave

This was a great trip, Francisco at Guide to Iceland was a great help and answered a whole bunch of random questions from us over the course of planning our trip. All of the tours and accommodations went nice and smoothly. We went with the mid-range hotel options and were placed in the Hotel Klettur in Reykjavik which was an awesome location. It was just a 2 or 3 block walk down to the main shopping/dining street and all of the tour buses picked us up right in front of the hotel (as opposed to meeting at a bus stop like it seemed some of the other hotels had to do). Our kids had really pushed for the high-end hotel option, but I think we picked the right one - we didn't fly to Iceland to have a fancy hotel experience after all. We went on 2 over night trips with Troll Expeditions. The buses were nice, though the "south coast tour" involved a lot more time sitting in the bus than I expected (we were driving through a nasty storm both days) but was worth it. I think the only mistake we made was opting for the northern lights by boat trip. We had figured that a boat would have more freedom to move around and find clear skies, but we basically motored out of the harbor and then made a couple of big circles in the same place for a while, all the time socked in by clouds. I think we'll try a mini-bus northern lights tour on our next visit, other travelers generally gave them more positive reviews.

This was truly a trip of a life time!!! We spent 13 days (12 + 1 extra) driving around this wonderful country visiting most of the recommended places, without any boring moment. The temperature was about right, from -3 to +7 degree celcius. But the wind...oh how string! Once the maximum speed reached 70 kph. But it was fun!!! I had only little previous winter driving experience, but the conditions of the roads were good enough, and there were not many cars out of Reykjavik. One only needs to be very careful and makes decent decisions. The days were long enough to visit places and the nights were great for Northern Lights. We saw this amazing phenomena 6 out of 12 nights. One night, it was so strong that we were able to take pictures with Samsung Note 8 in automatic mode, with clear picture of our faces too!!! We visited national parks, volcanos, geothermal areas, glaciers, waterfalls, geysir, lava fields, black sand beaches, etc... We also take many optional tours, which make our schedule to be rather full. But they proved to be worthwhile. Where else can you snorkelling between two continents, hiking on a glacier, visiting ice cave, lava tube cave and watching whales? What one needs to do is a lot of homework beforehand and rearranges places and time of how to visit. The places in the itinerary are not always in the order where you can go. And you do not have the time to see them all, especially with optional tours previously mentioned. We upgraded to the luxury car and quality accommodations. All were OK. A few comments are that the room at Foss Hotel Glacier Lagoon was very small. And at Seydisfjodur, where there are four different locations of the hotel Aldan buildings, we should have been informed before arriving. Actually, we knocked on one of the buildings door without any answer, so we needed to give the hotel a ring for their instruction. In Iceland, there is no bell boy. So you'd better pack a few small bags rather than a big one. The food tastes great. The portion is large in most places. The price was on high side. A lot of fish, seafood and meat, little vegetable. My favourites were smoked lamb and horse meat. The water tastes great, in fact, the best ever. Overall, our experiences during the 13 days were beyond expectations. We have been travelling to several countries, including the part of North Pole. Iceland is so unique that this trip will be a favourite in our fond memories.

7 dni, pakiet | Zimowe wakacje na Islandii

I’ve just got back from a 7 day winter vacation, Northern lights & Ice cave tour by Guide to Iceland. I just wanted to give my feedback on my service agent, Embla, who handled everything for me. From when she sent me the first email introducing herself, no questions were too silly and she was always quick to respond. Even when I was on my tour and I had a problem I could email her and she would respond and sort things out very quickly, I mean the only problem I really had was my northern lights tour one evening was cancelled and Embla rebooked me on another one. There were absolutely no problems whilst booking with Guide to Iceland and Embla. The whole itinerary was well thought out and jam packed with the best of the South and West. Our first guide Maria for our two day trip was amazing, she showed us so many things and engaged with us the whole way. Nothing was too much trouble. Our full golden circle tour was with another guide from the same company Troll Expeditions and he was also very good, giving us a lot of local information and tales. Unfortunately for our 2 day ice cave and south tour we had a guide from Aurora Hunters who didn’t seem very friendly at all, from when he made the pick-ups in the morning he just didn’t seem as friendly as the others. Every stop was given a time limit, which actually wasn’t as necessary and then we didn’t have enough time to actually look around. On one stop at a gas station he wanted us to have lunch at 11.30, there was such a queue of people inside, many of us didn’t have anything due to the queue and not being hungry. Even though there were many stops along the way, he didn’t want to stop. He changed out itinerary slightly so we did the blue ice caves on our first day which was fine but that meant we had more time the following day but this was rushed. We stopped in Vik for a bathroom break and that was only half an hour, so we didn’t actually get to explore the place too much although we went further up the coast to the black sand beach and other areas. Apart from this guide, everything else was perfect, I was a solo traveller but the people that were on each tour made the trip great. I was booked into the Eyja Guldsmeden Hotel in Reykjavik for the main base, and this hotel was lovely. They gave me a lovely room every time I came back and the tea and coffee was on tap, even though it wasn’t in the rooms but that was fine. The hotel staff are really friendly and accommodating. They have a small menu for food every day, it is the same every day and the menu is limited. Most days when coming back from trips I would just eat there so had the burger with wedges, it was lovely but maybe their menu could do with a little more. I was told I could get a welcome pack from City Hall so on the day that I landed I thought I would seek it out as I wouldn’t have time any other day, unfortunately I was slightly disappointed that I had trekked all that way just to receive a folder with a map (which I already had) 4 postcards and a sim card to use whilst there. Bit disappointed in that, was expecting a bit more considering what I had paid for the trip. But despite the one not great tour guide and the welcome pack I would definitely book with Guide to Iceland again.

My recent trip with David Ingi (greatest guide ever) was just absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed every second of it and words cannot describe what i witnessed in that country. This trip was very well organized and accommodations for each night are top quality. By completing the ring road you would definitely see everything iceland has to offer and trust me one of the ways to make a road trip most exciting is to have a experienced local that stop at the most unexpected places. Thank you David, for showing the group this magic country and I would love to come back to see a distinctly differ landscape in the summertime.

8 dni, pakiet | Zimowa wycieczka z przewodnikiem dookoła Islandii

It's an amazing 8 Day Winter Excursion with our cool viking guide, Siggi. The tour will not be awesome without him. He is a caring, thoughtful and helpful guide with plenty of initiatives to allow us to further experience the icelandic culture. For e.g. Bringing us to the geothermal bath and having a taste of Icelandic fermented shark meat etc. On top of that, his is a skillful driver, who take us through the rough weather that we encountered along the way. We felt that he went the extra mile to allow us to experience and explore the places and culture than to spend our time aimlessly:) The hotels provided are strategically located to get a good view of the northern lights display and most of them are equipped with facilities such as a hot tub and sauna. We are glad that we are able to catch the northern lights display for 2 nights. They're really great:) We would like to recommend the tour to adventurous travelers who are looking for an experiential tour in Iceland:) We had a very memorable tour!

A great 8 day Winter Excursion, special credits should go to our tour manager Seggi Viking. As a driver he is skillful and considerate, as a tour guide he is experienced and knowledgeable and a an Islandic local he is caring and friendly. It was a challenging adventure to climb up a snow covered crater to catch a scenic surroundings. Experienced a taste of cold and warm at the same time in a Geothermal Bath. We were fortunate to catch 2 nights of spectacular Aurora display during this trip. Contemplating to come back during summer to have another different experience.
