It was our first trip to Iceland and we opted to take the 4 day tour and it was all worth it. While the weather was not on our side which we kinda expect, yet we still did enjoy the full trip. Day 1 - arriving at 640am with a 730 transfer schedule to Blue Lagoon, most North American flights arrived in the morning, thus, we were out past immigration almost 8am already and missed the 730am Bus transfer to Blue Lagoon, instead of waiting for the next schedule at 930, we boarded a taxi so we can start our Iceland Journey right away. From Blue Lagoon, we then proceeded to our Hotel in Reykjavik and spent the whole afternoon exploring the city. In the evening, we had our Northern lights tour, the operator "David the guide" informed us that they will be delayed for 45 mins, apart from that all went well. Day 2 - Golden Circle tour, our operator "David the guide" also notified us that they can't make it due to operational issues and we were offered to their partner, East West tours and it was also worth it, the driver was so knowledgeable about the various aspects of our destination including Iceland in general. The trip to the greenhouse, tomato farm was nice but very expensive to our taste (Iceland is expensive general). Day 3 - South Coast tour with Glacier Hike - I would say that this was the high of our trip, the glacier hike experience was so well worth it. Day 4 - half day in the morning was spent strolling around the city again, buying souvenirs, dropping by at Harpa Concert Hall then proceeded to the airport for our afternoon flight. Booming through Guide to Iceland was a breeze, message them and they will get back at you right away. Suggestions if I may. 1. When David the guide has a delay, they notify you via email and also call your number, in our case we didn't have roaming, we only have esim for data, so, I never received the call, but got the email, it was only when I get back to US that I saw the voicemails from the operator. If an option is to be presented, we could have informed the operator that we have WhatsApp or Viber, in that way, we could have received the call right on then. 2. Not sure if this is true for all, but dang, the drivers in general on all our tours drive like there's no tomorrow, while it may seem adventure for some but definitely some of our tour group mates were on the edge of their seat. 3. When booking blue lagoon in the morning of arrival (day 1), if coming from US arriving at 630am, manage your expectations as you may not catch the 730am destination to lagoon bus, the next schedule is 2 hours after (930am) 4. The options of hotel provided by guide to Iceland could have been more, while we don't have issue with the hotel we stayed on but having more options could be better. Overall, it was a well worth first visit to Iceland and will definitely be looking at booking another one some time in the future.
