Women's Basketball Jihyun Shin Trade To Shinhan Bank A Day After Coming To BNK

The Korea Women's Basketball Federation (WKBL) said on the 25th, "Shinhan Bank has agreed to a trade with Jihyun Shin to receive priority nominations for the first round of rookies in the 2024-2025 season and to give up Byun So-jeong and Park So-jeong to BNK."

Jihyun Shin played in 29 regular league games at Hana Bank in Bucheon last season, averaging 12.1 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.9 rebounds.

He won the Rookie of the Year award in the 2014-2015 season and is the league's top five guard for the second consecutive year from the 2020-2021 season.

In particular, he has been loved by fans as a player with both skills and popularity, ranking first in the All-Star fan vote in 2022.

Jihyun Shin, who was named by BNK as a compensation player when Hana One Q recruited center Jinan as a free agent (FA) and moved the nest the previous day, changed his uniform back to Shinhan Bank in a day.

Since BNK completed the guard line leading to Lee So-hee, Ahn Hye-ji, and Park Hye-jin, instead of catching the Jihyun Shin, BNK brought in Byun So-jeong and Park Sung-jin to reinforce the height.
