After back-to-back 3-2 losses to Jung Kwan-jang and Korea Expressway Corporation,
Hyundai E&C snapped a two-game losing streak and earned three valuable points.
Moma Vasoko Leticia (20 points-registered name Moma) provided a strong attack from the side,
while Yang Hyo-jin (15 points) and Lee Da-hyun (12 points) outplayed IBK in the height battle.
Yang Hyo-jin added three blocked shots on the day to become the first player in the V-League to surpass 1,550 blocked shots (1,552).
Hyundai E&C reduced its magic number to clinch the top spot in the regular season after second-place Heungkuk Sinsaeng was swept by bottom-place Pepper Savings Bank the day before,
and it further reduced its magic number by beating IBK on Sunday.
With 77 points (25 W, 9 L), first-place Hyundai E&C widened the gap to four points over second-place Heungkuk Life (73-26 W, 8 L).
Hyundai E&C and Heungkuk Life have two games left,
one of which is the final regular season matchup on December 12 in Suwon.
Hyundai E&C will clinch first place in the regular season with a win against Heungkuk Life on the 12th.
