Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yoo In-chon congratulated 9th dan Shin Jin-seo,
who led the comeback victory in the ‘Three Kingdoms of Baduk’ Nongshim Shin Ramyun Cup. 파워볼
On the 26th, Minister Yoo In-chon met with Shin 9th Dan, national team coach Hong Min-pyo,
and Secretary General Yang Jae-ho of the Korean Football Association at the Seoul branch of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and said,
“I congratulate you on your victory and you have done a great job.”
Minister Yoo also said, “This championship will have a great impact on youth,” and added,
“In the future, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Baduk Association will discuss together ways to expand the base of Baduk and make it more active.”
Shin Jin-seo, 9th Dan, answered, “I was able to grow like this by training with a lot of support from the national team for 11 years.”
Shin Jin-seo led Korea to the championship for the fourth consecutive year with a miraculous ‘6-game winning streak’
at the 25th Nongshim Shin Ramyun Cup World Baduk Championship,
which ended in Shanghai, China on the 23rd.
In addition, Shin Jin-seo created a new legend in the Nongshim Shin Ramyun Cup by racing for 16 consecutive wins,
surpassing the all-time record of 14 consecutive wins established by 9th dan Lee Chang-ho in 2005.
