Al-Khelaifi-Mbappe 'big crash' before final home game.

 The soon-to-be departing player and his club president clashed over the latter's failure to mention his name in a farewell speech.

"Kylian Mbappe had a big argument with Toulouse FC president Nasser Al-Khelaifi just before the match between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Toulouse FC," Get Football News France reported on Thursday (June 14).

PSG lost 1-3 to Toulouse FC in the 33rd round of the 2023-2024 Ligue 1 season at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France, on Wednesday.

PSG had already clinched the league title earlier in the season, but this match was special. It was the last home game for the club's star Kylian Mbappe. PSG sent Mbappe off on a disappointing note with a 1-3 loss in what they called a "Mbappe farewell" match.

Eleven days before the match, Mbappe posted a short video on his personal social media account. In it, Mbappe himself announced his departure from PSG at the end of the season.

Mbappe is an iconic star for the French national team and PSG. He can play both wing forward and up front, and he has everything you need in a player: great speed, quickness, and a powerful shot.

"Having had the opportunity and the great honor to be part of the best club in France, one of the best in the world, I have experienced many emotions, many pressures and have been able to grow as a player with some of the best players in history, meet many people and grow as a person through both glories and mistakes," he continued.

Mbappe added: "I never thought it would be so difficult to leave my country, France. Ligue 1 is the league I've always known, but after seven years, I needed a new challenge."

Mbappe added: "I would like to thank all the teammates I played with. I want to say thank you to all the people I met, Unai Emery, Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Christophe Galtier, Luis Enrique, Leonardo and Luis Campos," Mbappe continued, naming coaches and club management by name.

However, one person was not mentioned. President Nasser Al Kelaifi. "Mbappe avoided mentioning Al Khelaifi in his farewell message," said Get Football News France. This suggests that the relationship between the two men has broken down," reported Get Football News France.

"The relationship between Mbappe and Al-Khelaifi has been irreparably damaged in the months since Mbappe announced his move on February 13, according to a report in Le Parisien," the outlet explained.

"Al-Khelaifi organized a more substantial send-off for Mbappe ahead of the farewell, but became increasingly agitated when Mbappe did not make an official statement. The event never happened and the relationship between the two took a turn for the worst."

"Al-Khelaifi has demanded an explanation for why his name was left out of Mbappe's farewell video," Get Football News France reported on Thursday, citing another French outlet, Le Parisien.

"Al-Khelaifi met with Mbappe hours before the match against Toulouse and demanded to know why he had been left out of a lengthy 'list of thanks,'" the outlet said. Al-Khelaifi was unhappy that his name had been omitted, despite his 2022 contract renewal making Mbappe the richest player in the world."

Mbappe's clarification soon led to an altercation between the two. The media described it as "a loud argument between the player and the president that shook the walls."

This delayed the players' warm-up against Toulouse, and the team entered the pitch four minutes later than usual.

"Mbappe and Al Khelaifi have not spoken since Mbappe publicly announced in February that he would leave the club at the end of the season, and even before this encounter, the two had deliberately avoided meeting," the outlet added.
