Doosan defeats SK in the first leg of the Handball H League men's championship final

Doosan defeats SK Hawks to take a commanding lead in the Handball H League championship series.

Doosan defeated SK 24-19 in the first game of the best-of-three men's championship series of the Shinhan SOL Pay 2023-2024 Handball H League at SK Handball Stadium on Monday.

Doosan will be crowned the inaugural H-League champions with a win in Game 2 at 7 p.m. on May 30 at the same venue.

Doosan, which was rested after playing its final regular-season game on Nov. 21, used its quick offense and physicality to take advantage of SK, which had played two flyoffs in between.

Doosan was led on offense by Kim Yeon-bin with eight goals and Kim Min-kyu with five, while Kim Dong-wook made 13 saves in goal.

For SK, Park Ji-sub led the offense with eight goals and Lee Hyun-sik scored four, while Kim Hee-soo made 11 saves.
