Lee Lim wins two World Cup archery titles

A key resource for South Korea's women's archery team, Lim Im-hyun (Korea Gymnastics Team), has won two gold medals at the Hyundai World Cup 2024 Hyundai World Cup Round 1.

Im defeated Deepika Kumari (India) 6-0 (27-26 29-27 28-27) in the women's individual final on the final day of competition in Shanghai, China, on Monday.

Earlier in the mixed team final, she and Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City) defeated Spain 5-4 (37-37 36-38 36-35 36-36 <19-18>) in a shootout.

It was the first World Cup double for the Korean archer this year.

After winning three archery titles at last year's Asian Games in Hangzhou, South Korea's women's archery program has become a mainstay of the sport, with the country's top archer set to make a splash at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in July,

Despite her strong performance, 스포츠토토 she fell short of the gold medal hunt in the other three events.

She reached the final of the women's team event alongside Jeon Hoon-young (Incheon City Hall) and Nam Soo-hyun (Suncheon City Hall), but lost 2-6 (54-55 54-56 57-50 55-56) to China to take silver.

The men's team, featuring Kim Woo-jin, Lee Woo-seok (Kolon) and Kim Jeduk (Yecheon-gu Office), finished runner-up to India in the men's team final, falling 1-5 (57-57 55-57 53-55).

In the men's individual event, Kim reached the final, but fell to Spain's Andres Temino 2-6 (30-29 27-30 28-30 27-28) to take home the silver medal.

In the compound, the men's team of Kim Jong-ho (Hyundai Steel), Park Seung-hyun (Incheon Gyeyang-gu Office), and Yang Jae-won (Commerce) won bronze in the men's team event.

Meanwhile, the second round of the World Cup will be held on March 21 at the Yecheon International Archery Center in Gyeongbuk.
