SK coach Hee-Cheol Jeon 'feels good' after clinching fourth place "The players are different than before"

Seoul SK has clinched fourth place in the regular season.

SK won a big 82-62 victory over Changwon LG in the sixth round of the 2023-2024 Korean Basketball League at Jamsil Student Gymnasium on Monday. The team will face fifth-ranked Busan KCC with home-field advantage in the best-of-six playoffs.

After the game, SK head coach Jeon Hee-chul smiled, saying, "First of all, I'm happy that the players showed a different side of themselves today."

He was pleased that the players played with more determination than usual.

"More than any tactical details, I saw the players trying to raise the atmosphere in the game, whether it was through movement, conversation, or communication. I saw the energy level increase. I was very grateful to see this before the playoffs."

For the final game of the regular season, the team plans to not push too hard. Their final opponent is KCC, who they will meet in the playoffs.

"If we lose with 100%, it will have a big impact, but we are not in that situation," said coach Jeon Hee-chul. The opponent will be similar. It's a wise choice to stay in shape.  안전놀이터 추천 We've already played five times. It's important to be 100 percent for the playoffs," he said thoughtfully.

He was quick to thank his players for enduring a tough season.

"Obviously, we had a lot of bad luck. There was definitely fatigue from the EASL (East Asian Super League) schedule. We had a lot of injuries. It was unfortunate that we lost the fight for second place at the end, but the players did a lot to secure fourth place," he said, adding that they played a bigger role than he did.

"Definitely, the players have gotten stronger by winning and finishing runner-up. When you have so many injuries, you don't need the best strategy and tactics. The players overcame it," he said, and thanked them again.
