
Manterra Group Signs Casino Agreement in Primorsky Krai, Russia
A company called Manterra Group agreed on Thursday to invest 14 billion rubles ($192 million) in a casino resort in the integrated entertainment zone (IEZ) of Primorsky Krai near Vladivostok, far east Russia, according to a press release on the website of the Primorsky Krai Development Corporation.
Mantera announced that it plans to complete the plan within four years of the start of the work, which is scheduled for 2022.
Hong Kong-listed casino group Nagakov resumed work on building a casino resort in Primorye after completing a deal with a Russian contractor in August, according to another announcement on the agency's website.
"The contractor plans to carry out the construction in the winter. The next phase of the construction will be completed next year," Igor Tropimov, executive director of the Maritime Development Corporation, said in a latter announcement.
The total amount invested in "Naga Vladivostok" so far exceeds 6.2 billion RUBs out of 11 billion planned as part of the first phase of construction, the agency said.
Hong Kong-listed Summit Ascent Holdings Ltd runs Tigre de Cristal, the first casino resort to open in Primorye.
The Shambala Casino Resort, which opened for the second time in Primorsky Krai, averaged 550 customers a day in the first 2.5 months, according to a business update released in June.
The business update covered the period from the launch of the property on October 16, 2020 to the end of that year.
