Kia beats LG with home run show to take lead
The Kia Tigers stayed on top of the KBO standings with a three-run home run victory over the LG Twins. In the win, NC Dinos' Son As-seop set a new KBO record for most hits in a game.
Kia hits three home runs to defeat LG
On Tuesday, Kia defeated LG 6-5 behind home runs by Kim Do-young, Choi Hyung-woo, and Na Sung-beom in the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju.
The game was tied 0-0 until the fifth inning, when a Kia error allowed LG to score the first two runs of the game. However, a grand slam by Kim Do-young in the bottom of the fifth inning turned the game around for Kia.
LG came back with two home runs in the seventh and eighth innings, but Kia responded with back-to-back home runs by Choi Hyung-woo and Na Sung-beom. Jung Jung-young struck out three batters in the bottom of the ninth to secure the win.
KT wins dramatic game against Lotte in a nail-biter
At KT Wiz Park in Suwon, the KT Wiz defeated the Lotte Giants 7-6 in a tightly contested game, thanks to a blast by Lotte closer Kim Won-joong. Lotte tied the game in the top of the ninth inning with solo home runs by Go Seung-min and Son Ho-young, but Kim Won-joong's blast in the bottom of the ninth gave KT the win.
Samsung swept SSG to solidify fourth place
The Samsung Lions swept the SSG Landers 4-0 at home in Daegu. Samsung scored first in the first inning and added to their lead with a home 바카라 run by Jung-bin Yoon to seal the win. Samsung starter Connor Seabold pitched seven shutout innings.
Doosan regains second place with win over NC
The Doosan Bears reclaimed second place with a 2-0 win over the NC Dinos. Doosan starter Raul Alcantara pitched seven scoreless innings to earn the win. NC's Son As-seop recorded his 2,505th career hit, setting a new KBO record for most hits in a season.
Kiwoom defeats Hanwha...Jang Jae-young makes successful switch to designated hitter
The Kiwoom Heroes swept the Hanwha Eagles 7-0 in Cheongju, South Korea. Kiwoom starter Ariel Furado pitched seven shutout innings to earn his seventh win of the season. Jang Jae-young, a converted hitter, had a successful game, going 1-for-2 with a double and two walks.
With the win, Kia maintained its lead, Doosan moved up to second place, and Samsung solidified its position in fourth.
