Geirland cottage is situated in Síreksstaðir farm in Sunnudalur, a valley in Vopnafjörður, north-eastern Iceland. Geirland cottage is friendly and well-equipped to accommodate up to 4 people. The bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, plus a sofa bed that can accommodate 2 people in the living room. If you love preparing your meals, the kitchen is fully equipped and comes with a stove, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and kettle.

Outside is a large veranda with a gas BBQ where you can grill as you enjoy the scenic outdoors. A swing set for children to play is also available.

While bed linens and towels for two persons are included in the price, extra ones can be provided for 1500 ISK per person. Free parking services are also available.

A few paces from the cottage is the restaurant "HJÁ OKKUR" where you can have your fill on Iceland’s delicacies. Egilsstadir is only an hour and a half drive from the cottage. Here you get to enjoy the best of East Iceland’s social amenities and services.

About 5 km from the cottage are several mountains called Smjorfjoll ("Butter Mountains"). Here you can engage in sporting activities such as hiking and mountaineering. After a hike up the mountains, you will get to enjoy a beautiful view across the bay Héraðsflói.

Gljúfursárfoss waterfall is only 23km north of the cottage where you can take photos of the breathtaking view of the water crashing down on the rocks beneath.
