Description
Hotel Duus is a boutique hotel on a beautiful coastline near Iceland’s only international airport. Those seeking convenience, luxury, and ocean views in their accommodation, particularly those on a stopover, will find a stay here unforgettable.
Location & Nearby
Hotel Duus is found in the town of Reykjanesbaer, just five minutes' drive from Keflavik International Airport. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, providing a sense of escape not found at many other local choices of accommodation; its sea-view rooms have a balcony, while single, budget, standard and family rooms face the town. Even so, services such as shops, restaurants, and bars can be walked to with ease.
Reykjanesbaer is located on the Reykjanes Peninsula, a wonderland of volcanic peaks, lava landscapes, caves, and geothermal areas; all of these are easy to explore from the hotel by car or with a local tour operator. The most famous site of the region, and perhaps even all of Iceland, is the Blue Lagoon spa, which is only 20 minutes away.
Considering the luxury found at Hotel Duus, this is a great place to indulge in a little more extravagance.
Facilities & Amenities
The boutique Hotel Duus has just fourteen rooms, providing privacy and quiet for all guests. Solo travellers will find single rooms, couples will find doubles, and families and groups of friends can comfortably stay in the triples. Sea-view rooms have a beautiful balcony that overlooks Reykjanesbaer's harbour, while single, budget, standard and family rooms face the town; every room has a walk-in shower, a flat-screen television, and access to free and fast Wifi.
A beautiful, locally sourced breakfast is provided to all guests for free each morning; there is also a great restaurant called Kaffi Duus on site where you can enjoy dinner and drinks. As a final bonus, free parking is provided to all staying here.
