Hotel Cabin has a great position in Reykjavik, being away from the bustling center but still within easy walking distance; you can get to the downtown area, about 1.5 km away, in half an hour on foot, or ten minutes by bus. A seaside walking path to the centre is just 100 m from the hotel. The main shopping street of Laugavegur and the magnificent church of Hallgrimskirkja are even closer.
In the opposite direction, you can walk to the city’s largest swimming pool, Laugardalslaug, just 700 m away, the largest park, Laugardalur, and one of its gyms in less than a quarter of an hour. The Reykjavik Zoo and Family Park is about 10 minutes' walk away.
