Next to see is the charming Dalvik village, a staple in the local fishing economy of Iceland’s coastline. Near Dalvik, your group will have a chance to walk on the black sands of Olafsfjordur beach.
Leaving Dalvik and the beach, the group will move to the beautiful town of Siglufjordur. Siglufjordur is the northernmost town in mainland Iceland and the filming location of the mystery drama TV series “Trapped.”
If you’re taking this tour in the summer, you’ll have the chance to visit the award-winning herring museum in Siglufjordur village, the largest maritime museum in Iceland. The Herring museum has five exhibiting buildings featuring displays on the process of fish salting and fish festivals that the country has held in the past and present.
