Founded by 4 young entrepreneurs, all among Iceland's best photographers and northern lights experts, Aurora Reykjavik hosts an interactive educational and recreational exhibition about Iceland's most amazing natural wonder, the northern lights.

You can book now and come when it best suits you, we're open every day from 09:00 to 21:00, and the ticket is valid for a single entry whenever we are open. 

For those not wishing to take any chances with the weather or fear they can not catch the light in Iceland's temperamental night sky, Aurora Reykjavik’s 360° virtual reality goggles will bring the real northern lights as close as it gets, and the brand-new selfie booth ensures northern lights photo fun.

For a relaxing experience, we have cosy beanbags and sheep fur in the northern lights theatre for you to lounge in, while watching a mesmerising 30-minutes aurora show projected on a 7-meters-wide-screen. The movie features northern lights displays from all over Iceland, collected the past seven years. 

If you are planning to head out to capture the real deal, you can grab a complimentary cup of coffee or tea, read some books and magazines in the Northern Lights Lounge.  There you can have a chat with the lovely and knowledgeable staff, all aurora enthusiasts and photographers while we help you to get ready for your own northern lights hunt with first-hand tips from the experts.

They can tell you where and when to go, how to read the forecast, how to be best-prepared and to how to enhance your chances to witness the Aurora Borealis with your own senses. You can also try the northern lights photo simulator and receive the right settings for your personal camera, so you're fully ready for your travels.
