Unforgettable 1 Hour Bjorbodin Beer Spa Tour in North Iceland
Description
Summary
Description
Relax in a tub full of beer with this unique tour in northern Iceland. Those who love hot spring bathing but want to try something different should make sure they book this tour.
Iceland's very first beer spa opened in June 2017. The perfect destination for any beer lover, Bjórböðin Spa is located in Árskógssandur in the north of Iceland, close to the town of Akureyri. Since the town of Árskógssandur was already known for its brewery, opening a beer spa for visitors was a logical next step.
In the spa, you can soak away the stress of modern life by relaxing in a bath of warm, young beer and live beer yeast. To add to the experience, you can sip a cold beer during your soak.
The effects of the yeast are very beneficial, both for the body and skin. It is recommended that visitors not shower for 4 hours after the spa, allowing the yeast to work its magic on their skin.
After a 25-minute soak in a private bathtub (with room for 1–2 people), guests are taken to a relaxation area for another 25 minutes. This treatment is cleansing for the skin and has a very positive effect on health.
Note that the beer in the tub is undrinkable, but there is a draft beer tap alongside every hot tub (for visitors aged 20+, the legal drinking age in Iceland). Help yourself to a cold drink while you bathe!
There is also a beer hot tub for larger groups outdoors, as well as a new restaurant with a menu that celebrates all things beer.
Try something new and unique, and do it with a beer in hand. Check availability by choosing a date.
