Description

Try out some of the best ski runs in Iceland with this fully customizable heliskiing adventure. Backcountry ski enthusiasts looking for the trip of a lifetime should book this exciting heliskiing tour now.

Your tour starts with pick-up from Keflavik International Airport, Reykjavik, or Akureyri, depending on which suits you best. You can choose how long your trip lasts, from one to seven days, to create your ideal heliskiing adventure.

During this adrenaline-fueled heliskiing tour, you’ll visit the pristine slopes of some of the most iconic mountains in Iceland. You’ll enjoy the pistes surrounding Siglufjordur, Olafsfjordur, and the Fljotin region.

Heliskiing involves riding in a helicopter to access remote areas and slopes full of fresh powder. The helicopter allows you to go beyond the ski lift and reach more exciting routes that would otherwise be inaccessible.

You’ll fly in a Nordurflug A Star B2 helicopter, which carries up to four guests, plus the pilot and your experienced mountain ski guide. You’ll get roughly eight runs and one hour of helicopter flying time each day of your tour.

On the first day of skiing, your expert guide will give you a full safety briefing. You’ll receive avalanche safety equipment, including a backpack with an air system, an avalanche beacon, a shovel, and a probe. You’ll also learn how to use this equipment in case of emergency.

High-performance freeride skis and bindings are also provided on this tour.

If you opt for a multi-day tour, you’ll stay in top-quality accommodation at the Soti Lodge in Fljotin, North Iceland. The lodge has a pool, hot tub, and sauna so you can relax after a busy day on the slopes.

Your helicopter will take off directly from the Soti Lodge in the morning and transport you to the day’s ski slopes. Each morning, your guide and their team will choose the runs you’ll do that day. Their decisions will be based on snow and weather conditions to give you the safest and most exhilarating runs possible.

All your meals are included during the trip. You’ll get a delicious breakfast buffet, three-course dinners, and mountain lunches each day of your tour. You’ll also enjoy snacks back at the lodge after you’ve worked up an appetite on the peaks.

Your tour also includes a flotation relaxation program in a local geothermal pool. This can help rejuvenate your body and mind after skiing — it’s the perfect way to recharge.

The tour is available to book for solo guests or those traveling in groups. Rooms are based on double occupancy.

Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to go heliskiing on some of Iceland’s most beautiful mountain peaks. Check availability now by choosing a date.
