The guide was nice and professional

Our guides are very humorous, carefully providing the teaching of crampons and glacier walking, and also explain a lot of knowledge about glaciers and the environment, leading us to the edge of the blue ice near the top; the difficulty of the trip is suitable, only a pity is We don't have time to stop for lunch, it is recommended to take this trip!

This was an incredible experience and definitely a highlight of our Iceland vacation! With 5 hours we were able to see and do more and go farther up the glacier all while being able to stop for photo opportunities of which there was no shortage of spectacular views. Our guide took care in making sure we explored the glacier safely and pointed out the unique features. We even repelled down an ice wall! It is a shame that in the near future these glaciers will disappear as will this experience for future generations.

We were a group of 16 people with 2 guides, that was splitted in two groups of 8 when hiking started. I didn't selected the shoes rental at booking time but has the possibility to rent it directly at the meeting point. the temperature is not really colder unless the weather becomes windy. I did not have waterproff pants and it was not a problem We went at the highest point of the glacial tongue just before the "seracs". great view ! It is not really hard to walk on ice with ice grips they provide. If you have some hiking experience it should be ok. Our guide was Jose, a spanish guy speaking english. he was really nice.

We were very lucky and the clouds parted for our hike! It was pouring rain the whole way there until the last minute and we got some sunshine. Pretty incredible being able to hike on a glacier. Our guide was awesome too, answered all our ridiculous questions and was extremely nice, definitely had a lot of experience so that was comforting! Would recommend for the adventurer!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip! The scenery is beautiful. It was somewhat challenging, which is what we were looking for. Even though the weather was a little rainy and drizzly, it was still the most amazing views. Our guide was amazing. He would explain to us what caused the different colors and shapes throughout the glacier. He even helped us take some photographs, which turned out awesome. Since it was the longer hike option, we got to go almost to the top and the guides were able to show us alot of different cool stuff! Totally worth the cost, just make sure to wear your waterproof clothing!

I recommend doing this "long" tour since there are a lot of groups on the glacier at the same time from other companies. So this is the only way to get out of the big flocks of tourists and have some space "for yourself". Of course at first you have to get used to the crampons, but the guides are totally helpful and tell you everything you need to know. In the end it really is easy if you follow the tipps. Even on our quite cloudy day we could see the sea from above, which got me some really cool pictures.

this tour is really impressive that you could never find such a chance elsewhere to see and know the glacier in this close distance and long duration. Highly recommended to those who wants to have special experience in Iceland. One of the must-do acticity. Pay attention, compare to 3-hour tour it could be a bit physical demanding, although the view is much better.
