Description

Explore the Golden Circle and see Iceland's most famous natural attractions. This fantastic sightseeing tour should not be missed by those eager to see the beauty of the land of ice and fire.

You will meet the guides at a base camp on road 249. They possess deep knowledge of the areas you will visit and will provide you with interesting facts and enlightening entertainment along the way.

You'll then set out on the Golden Circle, to visit the beautiful Þingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall.

Þingvellir National Park is first and has the honour of being the only UNESCO Heritage Site on the Icelandic mainland. The scenery is amazing in all weathers, ever-changing but always beautiful. You'll get a close look at how the tectonic plates that intersect Iceland have drifted apart, and where the first settlers of Iceland founded the world's oldest ongoing parliament in 930 AD.

You'll then continue to the geothermal area in Haukadalur valley, where you'll find the famous Geysir which all other geysers are named after. You'll witness the explosive geyser 'Strokkur', which erupts roughly every 5-10 minutes, reaching over 25 m (80 ft) in height.

From there you'll continue on to the majestic waterfall Gullfoss. This is one of Iceland's most defining features and can be admired from many angles.

This tour is perfect for those who want to get to know Iceland and the amazing diversity of the country. It includes a stop for lunch at either Geysir or Gullfoss, so either bring a packed lunch with you or buy traditional Icelandic food at the restaurant.

Seeing the Golden Circle is a sure way to make your Iceland adventure an unforgettable experience. Immerse yourself in Iceland's diverse landscapes. Check availability by choosing a date.
