Take a spin around the most famous sites in Iceland on this afternoon Golden Circle! This tour is for anyone who loves the countryside, natural wonders and has only a short time to maximise in Iceland. The Golden Circle is absolutely a must-see in order to understand the history and culture of the nation.

You’ll be picked up at your designated pickup location and driven down the beautiful south coast to three vital sites: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir geothermal area.

Þingvellir National Park is a gorgeous example of Iceland’s varied volcanic terrain, as well as a site that holds tremendous cultural meaning. It was here in this place that the world’s first parliament was founded more than 1000 years ago. You will also see how the valley is carved delicately between the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, edging gradually onto the shores of Þingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland. While here, you can walk between two tectonic plates.

On your next stop, you’ll see Gullfoss waterfall, in which glacial runoff pours down the two-tiered fall into the canyon below. The speed and power of the river Hvitá makes it a favourite place for those who love river rafting.

Geysir geothermal area is home to the first geyser discovered in the West. All other geysers in the world are named after it. The Great Geysir, active for more than 10,000 years, is currently at rest, but nearby Strokkur explodes with activity every 10 minutes or so, blasting water into the air as high as 40 m (131 ft).

The guide was very knowledgeable and informative of Iceland and its origins and heritage, The sights were just amazing and we enjoyed every moment. we would suggest that a small lunch for participants could be included.

This was a very informative and comfortable tour! My regular golden circle tour was cancelled so they booked me a longer tour for the same day with no extra cost.

I really enjoyed the tour and thought we spent a nice amount of time at each stop. I would have liked more time with the horses, though. It was only five minutes and expected it to be longer. Other than that, great tour! The guide gave a lot of interesting information and the sites were beautiful.

We did the golden circle tour and it was very nice. The volcano crater, the tectonic plates separated, the waterfalls, the geysir - all were marvelous natural wonders and our guide Rock was quite knowledgeable as well as entertaining. One thing was that we wished there was more time in each of the spots. We really had to rush through everything and my 84 year old father and 75 year old mother had to miss some sights because they couldn't walk fast enough. Otherwise, a day well spent.

The guide was great, but very rushed and no time for food. For what it is worth i booked thus last minute. I was originally booked in an all day minibus tour, but due to confusion and poor communication on their part, they never showed. I had no idea it was an express tour when i booked it. All i knew it was that a p.m. tour. Some descriprion in the description that it was little time at the sights would have been helpful.
