Breathtaking 9-Hour Golden Circle Tour from Reykjavik with Sky Lagoon Transfer
Description
Summary
Description
Experience the breathtaking beauty of Iceland with this Golden Circle tour from Reykjavik with a transfer to Fridheimar tomato farm and the Sky Lagoon. The tour is perfect for those who want to see the best of Iceland through the Golden Circle, eat lunch at a cultural hot-spot, and end the day on a luxurious note at a geothermal spa.
Your guided tour begins in Reykjavik, where your tour operator will pick you up. You'll meet your English-speaking guide, who'll also be your photographer during the tour. As part of the package, you'll take home photos taken by your professional guide.
This breathtaking tour has sightseeing, hiking, food tasting, and relaxation activities. Thus, wear warm clothes for the cold Icelandic weather and comfortable but sturdy shoes for hiking. Also, bring a swimsuit for Sky Lagoon and some snacks for the sightseeing and hiking part of the tour.
You'll first head to the Thingvellir National Park, the only UNESCO site in the country due to its historical and geological significance. Thingvellir is the birthplace of one of the oldest parliaments in the world, the Althingi. Also, it is the only place where you can see the edges of two continents.
While at Thingvellir, you'll visit Thingvallavatn lake and have a short hike at the Oxararfoss waterfall. Both offer beautiful views allowing for exceptional camera shots.
After your Thingvellir sightseeing, you'll travel to the Geysir geothermal area. Check out Strokkur, its most active geyser, which erupts every five to ten minutes. This ensures you won't miss the feature go off, especially if you want to take a picture with the enormous column of steam.
Before finally taking a lunch break, you'll visit Gullfoss, also known as the "Golden Waterfall." Gullfoss is as iconic as it is majestic due to its role in environmental conservation in Iceland. The "first environmentalist in Iceland," Sigridur, is remembered for saving the waterfall from damming with a tireless campaign.
After your Golden Circle adventure, you'll go to the Fridheimar tomato farm for a late lunch. You'll have the chance to eat its world-famous tomato soup and other food, including ravioli and pizza. You will also experience eating inside a greenhouse.
The last part of the tour includes a transfer to the Sky Lagoon, a beautiful geothermal spa in Iceland. Aside from admission, you'll also experience its famous Skjol bathing ritual. The ritual promises to make you feel relaxed and rejuvenated at the end of it.
There are few - if any - spots in Iceland as renowned for luxury as this geothermal spa.
The tour ends after you leave the Sky Lagoon. Note that drop-off is not included, but the Sky Lagoon is close to downtown Reykjavik.
Make your sightseeing tour of the Golden Circle better by visiting Fridheimar tomato farm and ending it with a relaxing stay at the Sky Lagoon. Check availability now by choosing a date.
