Looking to maximize your vacation time in Iceland? Make the most of your holiday with this incredible sightseeing tour of some of Iceland’s most popular tourist attractions.
This day is a combination of Iceland's most famous sites, conveniently paired to allow you to experience more. See natural formations, such as geysers, waterfalls, lakes, and more.
You’ll visit Thingvellir National Park, a historic landmark and the place where the Icelandic Commonwealth was founded. Take a chance to visit the best place on earth to view the North Atlantic Divergent Ridge - it’s one of the only locations on earth where it is possible to see the tectonic plates standing exposed above the surface.
From Thingvellir, you will travel to Geysir, the world-famous geothermal area of Haukadalur Valley. Here, you can see eruptions of up to 20-meters in height at Strokkur, which erupts every three to four minutes. You can also pass by the now-dormant, legendary Geysir, which gives the area its name.
Next, view Gullfoss, considered the most beautiful of Iceland’s 30,000 waterfalls. Here, the water of the Hvítá river travels from the glacier Langjökull, and surges over the two tiers of Gullfoss in dramatic fashion, making it perfect for photographs. After a stop for lunch, you will travel to Kerið, where entry is included in our fee. It’s a striking crater lake filled with milky blue-green water and surrounded by stark black and deep-red slopes.
You'll then end the day at the Blue Lagoon, where you'll enjoy bathing in the relaxing geothermal waters. The bus arrives at 17:00, so be sure to purchase your Blue Lagoon admission for that time slot before the tour begins. Towels will be provided with entry, just remember to bring a swimsuit!
