Description

Spice up your visit to North Iceland with this exciting five-hour river snorkeling tour with entrance to the GeoSea baths. If you want an unforgettable adventure combining the beauty of Iceland's crystal-clear waters with the soothing embrace of geothermal baths, then this small-group tour is for you.

Your adventure starts at the beautiful Litlaa river in North Iceland. You can find this location beside the lush Keldunes farm, just a 30-minute drive from the charming town of Husavik.

You'll meet your certified dive guide and the rest of the tour joiners in this area. The group will not exceed eight participants per guide, ensuring a personalized and safe experience.

Before embarking on your underwater adventure, the expert guide will provide a comprehensive briefing, setting the stage for your snorkeling expedition. You'll also be outfitted with top-of-the-line snorkeling equipment, including a drysuit, to keep you warm and comfortable throughout your journey.

As you enter the Litlaa river, you'll be amazed by its unique characteristics. Despite its northern location, this river maintains a pleasantly warm temperature between 53 to 62 F (12 to 17 C) due to the region's geothermal activity.

Litlaa has a shallow depth that allows for crystal-clear visibility, offering an unobstructed view of the captivating underwater world. While snorkeling, you'll see mesmerizing volcanic sands and multicolored sediments on the riverbed. As warm geothermal waters flow upward, these sands create intricate patterns and ripples on the river's floor.

As you drift along the river's surface, you'll be captivated by the vibrant green algae that blanket the riverbed, adding an extra layer of beauty to your snorkeling experience. You may even see trout fishes swimming with you with some luck.

After an exhilarating 30 to 40-minute snorkeling session in the Litlaa river, you'll head to the charming town of Husavik, where relaxation awaits at the GeoSea Geothermal Sea Baths.

The GeoSea Geothermal Sea Baths offer an opportunity to immerse yourself in a unique and soothing experience. Bathing in the geothermal waters and the mineral-rich seawater is the perfect relaxation activity after your snorkeling tour.

As you unwind in the infinity pools, the breathtaking vistas of Iceland's northern coastline provide a picturesque backdrop, making your visit to GeoSea an unforgettable part of your Icelandic adventure. You can also try its excellent facilities, like an in-water bar, a restaurant, and a steam room.

Guests at GeoSea baths typically stay for around two hours. After your visit here, you can explore around town or continue visiting the highlights of North Iceland independently.

Embrace the beauty of Iceland both below and above the surface with this remarkable snorkeling and geothermal bathing tour. Check availability now by choosing a date.
