Description

Unwind and connect to the beautiful Icelandic nature by booking this incredible two-day guided yoga excursion. Those eager to nourish their bodies and minds should book this private tour now.

For this tour, you can choose to add on a transfer from your accommodation in Reykjavik, or you can meet at the location for the yoga retreat, which will be disclosed after you've booked. The retreat will take place in the countryside outside Reykjavik.

You will meet your expert English-speaking guide leading the yoga sessions. This excursion is a private tour, so it will be just you and your party. There's no need to wait for other guests, and the tour can be tailored to your needs and abilities.

Your group can decide whether to be naked or dressed for the yoga session.

Your tour starts with a breathwork session when you arrive at the location. Breathwork is a practice that involves controlled breathing exercises to help manage stress, improve focus, and enhance well-being.

It's about using specific breathing patterns to calm your mind, relax your body, or boost your energy. People practice breathwork for various reasons, such as reducing anxiety, improving sleep, or finding balance.

Regular practice can lead to better awareness of your breathing patterns and overall mental and physical health. It's a simple yet powerful tool that anyone can use to feel more grounded.

Next, you'll enjoy a heart-opening cacao ceremony, followed by a yoga session, which will take place indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather conditions. At the end of the yoga session, you'll take part in some deep relaxation.

When the practice has finished, you will soak in a natural stone, geothermally-heated hot tub while looking out over the Icelandic countryside's beautiful views. After this, you will have a delicious healthy soup and sourdough bread dinner.

The rest of the evening is free to spend however you like. You can relax and spend time reading in the house or garden, cozy up by the fireplace, go walking nearby, or watch the northern lights from the hot tub or garden.

You'll spend a comfortable night here before waking up and checking out in the morning.

At the end of the tour, you can head to your next destination if you met at the location. If you choose a transfer, your driver will take you back to your accommodation in Reykjavik.

Don't miss this immersive two-day experience connecting with your body and mind while practicing yoga in the Icelandic countryside. Check availability now by choosing a date.

Day 1

Day 1 - Breathwork and Yoga

On the first day of your private yoga tour, you will enjoy breathwork and yoga sessions and an overnight stay at a cozy house.

You can choose whether you’d like a transfer from your accommodation in Reykjavik or whether you’d like to meet on location. If you decide to meet at the house, the location will be sent to you after booking.

When your group arrives at the house, your day will start with a breathwork session followed by a cacao ceremony. A breathwork session offers a guided practice focused on intentional breathing techniques to reduce stress and enhance mental clarity.

During the session, an instructor leads you through exercises that help activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and balancing the mind. Breathwork is beneficial for releasing tension and improving focus, often leaving participants feeling refreshed and more grounded.

These sessions are accessible to beginners and can be practiced individually or in groups. Your guide will show you some exercises during the session that you can do when you get home to help promote your overall well-being.

A cacao ceremony is a guided, heart-opening experience that involves drinking ceremonial-grade cacao, a pure form of chocolate made from raw cacao beans. Used in ancient traditions, cacao is believed to have mood-boosting and reflective qualities, thanks to natural compounds that support mental clarity and relaxation.

During the ceremony, participants drink cacao in a mindful setting, often followed by meditation, breathing exercises, or group sharing. The ritual can create a calming space for self-reflection, creativity, or emotional release.

It is then time for your yoga session, which can be indoors or outside, depending on the weather. Your group can also choose whether to be naked or clothed.

Afterward, you can dip in the geothermally heated natural stone hot tub and enjoy the surrounding views before eating a dinner of healthy soup and sourdough bread. You can relax by the fireplace or watch the northern lights outside for the rest of the day. You can retire to your bedroom in the evening for a comfortable night’s sleep.

Day 2

Day 2 - Back to Reykjavik

You will return to the city on the second day of your yoga tour near Reykjavik.

You will wake up in the morning after a restful night's sleep. You have until 11.00 am to check out so you can enjoy relaxing in the house with a book, take another dip in the geothermally heated natural stone hot tub, or walk around the countryside surrounding the house.

If you have driven to the house, you can head off when you like. If you have booked a transfer, you will be driven back to Reykjavik around noon. You will arrive in Reykjavik in the early afternoon with plenty of time for sightseeing.

Reykjavik, Iceland's capital, is a compact, colorful city known for its vibrant culture, innovative cuisine, and unique blend of modern and traditional architecture. You'll find attractions in the city, like the striking Hallgrimskirkja church, the modern Harpa Concert Hall, and the historic Althingi parliament building.
