To begin your adventure, you'll take a complimentary bus ride from Keflavik International Airport to your hotel in downtown Reykjavik. As soon as the bus leaves the airport, you'll be surrounded by the lava fields and rugged coasts of the Reykjanes Peninsula.
On your way to Iceland's capital city, you will stop at the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. This world-renowned spa is known for its healing waters, vivid azure colors, and luxurious treatments.
It is in the middle of a moss-covered lava field, giving it an otherworldly atmosphere.
This tour package includes the standard comfort entrance to the geothermal spa, which features a silica mud mask, towel use, and facility access.
If you want to upgrade your entrance package, you can choose the premium entrance during the booking process for an extra cost.
The premium entrance provides extras like more silica mud masks, a bathrobe and towel use, and a glass of sparkling wine when dining at the acclaimed LAVA restaurant.
After a relaxing geothermal bath, you'll continue your journey to the Icelandic capital. Upon arrival, you'll check in at your hotel and rest before exploring the city's charming streets.
In the evening, you can take a complimentary northern lights tour. Iceland is one of the best places to see this stunning natural phenomenon, so you should take advantage of this experience.
You can choose between a northern lights bus tour and a boat tour.
Go for the boat tour in the Old Harbor to see the dancing lights over the ocean. Meanwhile, the bus tour will take you to the countryside under darkness while you watch for glimmers of color against a backdrop of the Icelandic wilderness.

On your second day in Iceland, you’ll journey into Iceland’s most famous tourist route, the Golden Circle. This region covers 190 miles (300 kilometers) and features three of the most visited natural attractions in the country.
For your convenience, a minibus will pick you up from your accommodation or at a designated bus stop in the city.
The journey will take you around 31 miles (50 kilometers) into the countryside, where you’ll see snowy plains, valleys, and mountains, to the first highlight of the Golden Circle.
First on your itinerary is the captivating Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of profound historical and geological significance.
Here, you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, witnessing each year's gradual drift.
Besides the stunning geological features, Thingvellir National Park is notable for its rich history. Althingi, the oldest parliament national parliament in the world, was founded in this lush valley.
Continuing your adventure, you’ll arrive at the Geysir geothermal area, home to the renowned Strokkur geyser.
Be prepared to be amazed as you watch the Strokkur geyser erupt, shooting boiling water up to an impressive 66 feet (20 meters) into the sky. The anticipation and thrill of witnessing this natural spectacle are beyond compare.
The third attraction on the scenic route is the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, where the Hvita River plunges into a rugged canyon around 105 feet (32 meters) down. As you approach this mighty cascade, you'll feel the refreshing spray on your face surrounded by icy cliffs.
After your time in the Golden Circle, you will join a snowmobiling tour across the Langjokull glacier, the second-largest ice cap in Iceland.
The snowmobile ride takes you through ever-changing terrain, from smooth glacial expanses to undulating mounds of ice. Throughout the tour, you’ll see panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, glaciers, and untouched Arctic wilderness.
After a day of adventure in the countryside, you’ll return to your accommodation in Reykjavik.

On the third day of your winter adventure in Iceland, you have more freedom to personalize your itinerary. Check off some attractions or activities from your bucket list and discover what makes Iceland great.
You can choose to explore the city's museums, galleries, and cafés to have a better understanding of the local culture. The streets of downtown Reykjavik are compact yet charming, allowing you to stroll around its beautiful corners under the winter skies.
If you're up for more countryside adventures, you can participate in one of several optional activities.
If you want to stay near the city, take a whale-watching tour from the Old Harbour. Travel across the waves of the beautiful Faxafloi Bay in a boat to get up close and personal with the gentle giants of the sea.
With luck, you won't have to wait long to see the marine animals that call the bay their home. Some familiar sights here include humpback whales, minke whales, harbor porpoises, and white-beaked dolphins.
Alternatively, you can also take a sightseeing tour of the rolling farmland, fast-moving waterfalls, and craggy lava fields that characterize the South Coast.
It is one of the most visited regions in Iceland, even in winter, due to its beautiful sceneries and proximity to Reykjavik.
If you join a guided tour of the South Coast, you'll see the region's most notable attractions, such as the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, Skogafoss waterfall, and Reynisfjara black sand beach.
If you would like a more active day, you can also take a glacier hike on the frozen wonderland of the Solheimajokull glacier. Located on the South Coast, Solheimajokull Glacier is an outlet glacier of the mighty Myrdalsjokull Glacier.
With the help of an expert guide, you'll hike over the ice cap's icy landscapes, crevasses, ridges, and snowy plains.
Whatever activity you choose, you'll retire for the night in your accommodation in Reykjavik.

What to bring
Good to know
The northern lights are a natural phenomenon, and therefore cannot be guaranteed, but this itinerary is designed to maximize your chances to see them if the weather allows. Please be aware that your itinerary may have to be rearranged to better fit your arrival date and time.
Some optional activities might need a valid driver's license, or you might need to send additional information to your travel planner. Please note that you need to know how to swim and present medical documents should you choose to go snorkeling or diving.
It can happen, in the case of extreme weather, that an activity is canceled. If your chosen activity is canceled, we will assist you with rearranging or booking other activities when possible, and any potential price difference will be refunded to you.
Note that Icelandic roads and pavements can be slippery in the wintertime. We recommend you bring shoes with slip-resistant soles or ice-grip shoe covers. The covers can be purchased in most supermarkets and gas stations around the country.
