This Icelandic food tour is a truly unique experience, where you'll get to try many of classic, traditional national foods. These include Icelandic lamb soup, Minke Whale, Skyr, the one and only Icelandic hot dog, smoked puffin, Icelandic lobster soup and finally the notorious hakarl, otherwise known as fermented shark.
Be sure to arrive hungry, because you are guaranteed to be stuffed after the tour.
This food tour has been designed to be as truly authentic to this nation as possible. Your guides will infuse your walk together with interesting and fun facts about Icelandic history and are experts on the cuisine. You'll visit up to six places on your walk, to venues exclusively chosen, and on weekends you'll walk through Reykjavík's favourite food market.
There is a maximum of 12 people on all our tours so your guides can be sure to answer any and all of your questions on the tour. You'll only walk around 2.5 kilometres, with many stops, so it's an easy walk.
You'll meet up with your groups and guides at the two stone pillars by Ingolfur Square.
