Explore the world’s northernmost capital with a 2-3 hour private tour of Reykjavik. Those eager to see the top city sights, including Hallgrimskirkja church, Hofdi House, and Perla museum, should book this private tour now.

Reykjavik is full of culture and attractions. There is much to love about the city, from colorful city-center houses to museums, restaurants, pubs, entertainment venues, and lush green spaces.

On this private guided tour, you will learn about its history, visit the most well-known attractions, and spend time at the museums, if you wish.

A standard private tour takes between two and three hours. However, it’s possible to tailor its length to suit your needs. Please allow longer should you wish to visit the museums.

Depending on how you feel during the excursion, you can discuss extending the tour with your friendly guide.

A driver will pick you up from your accommodation or chosen location in Reykjavik and take you to Hallgrimskirkja church, the day's first stop. This modern cathedral is an iconic city landmark and has an impressive 239-foot (73-meter) tower and a striking design.

The next stop is Perlan historic landmark set on a hilltop amid a picturesque park. You will love the views over Reykjavik and can opt to stay longer and visit the top-rated interactive museum.

You can step inside an ice cave, watch a film about the aurora borealis, and learn about earthquakes, volcanoes, glaciers, and sea life. The glass-domed building also features a revolving fine-dining restaurant and cocktail bar.

The third stop on your private tour is Laugardalur park. It’s home to the Reykjavik Botanical Garden, with over 3,000 plant species. The park is one of Reykjavik’s many picturesque green spaces and is a wonderful place to enjoy nature.

Then you’ll head to the coastline for three great attractions. First up is Hofdi House. It was built in 1909 and had important historical significance as the site of the peace agreement during the Cold War.

Read the information board and wander around the scenic area to see the Hodfi lighthouse.

You’ll come to the Sun Voyager historical landmark further along the coastal path. Here you can marvel at the stainless steel boat sculpture and the beautiful scenery across the harbor.

The third coastal attraction is Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center, 601 yards (550 meters) from the Sun Voyager.

This modern event venue boasts an inspiring design and is home to the national opera and symphony. Finally, you will see the Althingi Parliament House before your driver takes you back to your accommodation.
