Scenic 1 Hour RIB Boat Tour with Transfer from the Westman Islands

This RIB boat tour takes about 1 hour and is an exploration of the nature that the Westman Islands offers. That includes the birdlife, the sea caves and possibly some seals, whales or other aquatic species.

We meet at our base at the Westman Islands harbor where you will get your life jackets and rescue overalls. After picking up the necessary gear you will get a quick safety instruction briefing before we get comfortable in the boat.

Our expert captain will serve as your guide and tell you stories about the area and help you spot puffins, common murres and more.

On our way out we pass the beluga whale sanctuary where we will try to catch a glimpse of these beautiful white whales. The beluga whale sanctuary is a new project and the whales will be released to their new home, Klettsvík, in the spring of 2020.

One of the highlights of this tour is the iconic Elephant head rock formation but our route will depend on the weather conditions at sea so in rare cases we go a different route but you will be sure to get a great look at the natural pearls that the island holds.

Average cruising speed is around 23 miles per hour but in the end we accelerate to 30-40 mph.
