Your first stops are Hraunfossar Waterfalls and Barnafoss Waterfall. At Hraunfossar Waterfalls, hundreds of small streams flow out from beneath a lava field and spill into the Hvita River.
Just a short walk away, Barnafoss Waterfall rushes through a narrow canyon. Your guide tells you the tragic local legend behind its name.
Next, you visit Deildartunguhver Hot Spring, the most powerful hot spring in Europe, which releases 48 gallons (180 liters) of boiling water every second. Here, you can see deer fern, which grows wild in Iceland only at this hot spring.
Then you stop at Arhver Hot Spring, a small geothermal spring that bubbles up in the middle of the Reykjadalsa River.
The last stop is Reykholt Village, once home to the medieval writer Snorri Sturluson. Here, you can see Snorralaug, the small hot pool where Snorri is said to have bathed.
After the last stop, your guide drives you back to Reykjavik and drops you off at your accommodation.
