Midnight Sun 12 Hour Hiking Tour to Snaefell with Transfer from Egilsstadir
Description
Summary
Description
Join this midnight sun hiking tour to Snæfell, the country's highest 'freestanding' mountain.
Snæfell is in the East of Iceland and is 1833 meters (6013 feet) high. The first trip to the summit was made more than 220 years ago, in 1794. From the summit you have a spectacular vista and can see half of Iceland on a clear day.
Snæfell has two main hiking routes, the 'normal' route and another one along the North-East ridge which is very popular for the midnight tours. The midnight sun rises in the North between 2 and 3am in June and July. During that period there are 24 hours of daylight in Iceland. What better way to experience the power of this mountain, then by hiking it during the midnight sun?
Come with us on this unique and beautiful hike. Check availability by choosing a date.
