Avoid the crowds and come along for a full day minibus exploration of the majestic Snæfellsnes Peninsula and see the most sci-fi-esque area of the country: volcanic beaches, black churches, and the world-famous Kirkjufell mountain.

After being picked up from your preferred location in Reykjavík, you'll join us for a drive towards Iceland's majestic western coastline. Here you'll experience first-hand the beautiful landscapes this unique part of the country has to offer.

You'll stop at some of the most famous must-see spots and a few extra ones as well. You'll get to visit the picturesque Kirkjufell waterfall, situated right next to the iconic cone-shaped Kirkjufell mountain, and the beach Ytri-Tunga, where you are going to spot the seal colony that lives there.

You'll also visit the stunning black sand beach of Djúpalónssandur. There you'll get a chance to test your strength on the four ancient lifting stones that for centuries were used to measure whether or not Icelandic boys were strong enough to become fishermen.

In addition, you'll pass the serene fishing village of Arnarstapi where you can admire the charming little houses that overlook the cliffs and seascape. Next up is another charming village, Búðir, where you'll see an unusual, jet-black church which was built in 1703, Búðakirkja.

You'll also stop to see the dramatic landscapes of the Lóndrangar basalt cliffs before reaching the enchanting Snæfellsjökull glacier. This 7000-year-old stratovolcano with a glacier covered peak can be seen from the city of Reykjavík, at a distance of 120 kilometres. Situated on the most western part of the peninsula, Snæfellsjökull remains one of Iceland's most iconic attractions, famed for its captivating and mystical atmosphere which was the setting of Jules Verne's 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth'.

You'll have plenty of time to walk around, admire and take photos at each and every stop along the way. The free WiFi onboard the minibus, Icelandic music and snacks will ensure that this trip is as comfortable as possible.

It was a great tour! Our tour guide is very friendly and cheerful. She told us a lot of stories and I find that interesting. The tour itself is amazing! However it was a bit crowded inside the bus. During our tour it was very windy but the view is breathtaking. One thing to improve : provide wifi XD

Bjorn was a terrific guide, always walking us through the places and being patient while we took pictures. Snæfellsnes is a must-see. The landscapes are out of this world! And the weather really helped getting the most out of this tour.

The guide Maria is amazing. She brought us to several places that is not mentioned on the itinerary. She is funny and has the passion in doing her job. Unlike the typical guides who talk boringly about history only, she even played with us. This is the best tour experience ever.

The one day trip was great, we really enjoyed the wonderful free time we got after lunch in Arnarstapi. Weather was quite nice at the end of May. We got to see several seals at the seal colony as well.

Our trip was with 2 other couples and included my 68 birthday. Our City Walk tour was fantastic, Thomas really filled in a lot of history and we had a bread bowl of soup, at the end which was delicious. I would rate his tour 5 stars. Our second tour was with Gray Line to see the Northern Lights. This was okay because we did see the lights, but the fact that they park so close to the edge of the road was dangerous. There was a very steep drop and my husband fell and was really bruised. Another man fell and broke his leg. There was no follow up either. I'd rate their tour 3 stars. The Golden Tour was good, but not what we signed up for. While we did see a lot, our guide, G, seem to have his own agenda. We didn't get to see movie on the tectonic plates, primarily because he was late picking us up. He pointed things out and then left to drive the bus to another spot. We did see the geysers, and waterfalls. However, we didn't get to see a farm, but we did see him feed his own horses. I'd rate him a 2 or 3. The final tour was with Thorsteinn to the Snaefellsnes area. He was excellent! He made sure we knew the history, had plenty of breaks for food and restrooms, gave us a treat, yummy, and showed how he truly loves his country. I'd rate him a 5 or higher.

OMgoodness, what a wonderful tour. Thorsteinn was a wonderful guide, knowledgeable, funny, and ensured we had a great time. This tour is quite a long one but Thorsteinn was able to make every minute count. I loved his sense of humor and enjoyed the pride he, as well as all Icelanders, have for their country.
