In the summer months, you will then head to the enormous rock arch of Dyrholaey. Though spectacular in its own right, it is particularly renowned in this season for its massive puffin colony. These adorable creatures have little fear of people, allowing you to have up-close encounters and to take some fantastic photos.

After this, or if traveling in winter, you will begin your slow-paced journey back to Reykjavik, keeping an eye on the skies in the hope of a showing of the Northern Lights.
